Superior 4.0

A building in Great Britain, upgraded from designs by Ines Dossi Designer, has been completely transformed from a simple factory building to industry 4.0. This was a significant project for Thema, due to the technical characteristics of the upgrade, the management and logistics of a job outside Italy, and the use of specific products, as well as having to work with British technical standards. Thema coordinated a series of activities that are not strictly part of the company’s core business. Management of logistics outside Italy demonstrated the solid organisation of our project management, especially in the light of such a technically complex project.

The building itself is technically significant due to the load-bearing structure for the offices, the plasterboard facings, and the air conditioning and heating systems. Another important feature, especially in terms of such large surfaces, consists of the use for the first time of windows and glazing with fire resistance compartmentation. Thema created the double vestibule in the entrance, where the weight of the building’s main façade is offloaded onto the beam that acts as a doorway.
