The Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc is the result of a clear design project: creating a contemporary structure that at the same time, respects the traditions and typical materials of the area. The architectural concept is by Anna Giorgi & Partners, and consists of four chalets with sloping roofs in stone and facing materials typically used in Valle d’Aosta, such as wood and stone on the façades, combined with large windows on the main section. The windows and glazing by Thema are beautifully incorporated into the Alpine style.
For the club house, the central part of the hotel, on three storeys, Thema created a façade system with large-sized windows. The restaurant veranda is a fully glazed additional structure, fully managed by Thema as a project within the project. For the three lateral chalets, which contain the rooms, specially designed windows with squared aluminium-wood profiles, mixed technology and custom-made finishes were fitted, designed by the architects. These windows fit seamlessly with the wooden furnishings in the interiors.
