L22 Urban & Building, a Gruppo Lombardini22 brand, is responsible for the renewal of Canottieri Olona 1894, Milan’s point of reference for sport and leisure time in the characteristic setting of Milan’s Navigli. The interventions were carried out on the gym, the reception, club house, garden, restaurant and pool, as well as adding new changing rooms and toilets, and various interventions to installations. The overall restyling was carried out with the aim of improving quality, accessibility and receptivity at the sports centre and restaurant, as well as to guarantee energy efficiency.

The architecture here is a style statement that is all about clean lines and transparency. This upgrade has contributed to making the most of the relationship and continuity between the interior and the exterior. The design expands the space to create the impression of being even closer to the Naviglio. The heart of the centre is the large central space occupied by the pool, around which are the areas used for sports and recreation. The space in The Rowing Club is defined by light coming in from the canal and, on the inside, from the outside patio. The transparency, guaranteed by large sliding, folding windows made by Thema conceal illuminated, comfortable spaces.
